Data & Policy
Kathy Booth is Project Director for Educational Data & Policy at WestEd and staffs both WestEd’s Center for Data Integration and the Center for Economic Mobility. She currently leads projects that help translate data into action, including documenting how states are modernizing their linked data sets to strengthen equitable outcomes and linking education and labor market information to develop stronger pathways to living wages. She has helped to build several longitudinal data systems including serving as the process facilitator for the development of the California Cradle to Career Data System and leading the creation of the LaunchBoard, a suite of dashboards that make data on student progress, completion, employment, and earnings outcomes available to educators for the purpose of program improvement. She also has helped to align data points across K-12, postsecondary, adult education, and workforce development systems and led the development of post-graduation surveys to better understand the return on investment of a college education.
